Volunteering at the Chicago Folk & Roots Festival

Volunteers

Volunteers wanted! Are you an enthusiastic team player who likes to meet other people? Do you like to spend beautiful weekends outdoors listening to great music? Are willing to pitch in to help make the Folk & Roots Festival spin like a top? Do you want to earn credit towards FREE classes at the Old Town School? If you'd like to help us make this year's festival fantastic please fill out and return the Volunteer Signup Form or complete the online form here.

The Festival enjoys its success because of the amazing efforts of over 250 volunteers who help throughout the weekend, assisting in dozens of different roles. Volunteers are the first faces that visitors see, staffing the entrance gates to welcome folks, taking donations, and providing directions and information. Volunteers also greet artists, help in the activity tents, sell raffle tickets, oversee cleanliness, aid vendors, run errands, pour beer, and have a blast helping with these and many other critical needs!

In addition to sharing the fun and hearing great music, volunteers receive a free Festival t-shirt, and earn points that can be applied toward free or discounted Old Town School classes or concert tickets.
