Saturday, July 10th & Sunday, July 11th
The music emanates from the Main Stage throughout Welles Park all weekend long starting with the friendly competition of the 8th Annual Midwest Fiddle Championship on Saturday afternoon and ending with the mesmerizing sounds of two nomadic desert tribes coming together as Etran Finatawa on Sunday evening. Along the way there will be a multitude of diverse sounds and grooves including the French-Algerian sonic mash-up of Les Saltimbanks, the instrumental Afro-Soul sounds of The Budos Band, the blues powerhouse Shemekia Copeland, the West African Dance jams of the Occidental Brothers, the Bhangra meets second line groove of Red Baraat, the top shelf bluegrass of the James King Band, and so much more!
The Main Stage is the hub of Folk & Roots, and you won't want to miss a single strum. So have a look, listen, and read up on this year's amazing Main Stage artists in the handy links to the right. There you will find some good details on the artists as well as some video clips to see just what lies in store so you can come prepared. See you in the park!
