Waltz Across Chicago!

The Folk & Roots Dance Tent will become a ballroom for a veritable waltz sampler of polkas, horas, hoedowns, and, of course, waltzes! Brief lessons for specialty dances will be immediately followed by live musical accompaniment to fit the particular style of dance.

The bands include The Fantastic Toe Trippers, comprising five Old Town School teachers and friends with tunes from Northern Europe and South America; The Alte Schteibeles (The Old Schoolers), the School's Klezmer Ensemble led by Jon Spiegel and Stu Rosenberg; and Simbolo Norteño, a neighborhood conjunto.
