OgundaMasa

OgundaMasa is a performance group committed to preserving and performing various African influenced musical traditions from Cuba. OgundaMasa is comprised of musicians, educators, and cultural affiliates working as a collective to continue and extend the traditions in Chicago. Their repertoire is vast and involves elements of many folkloric traditions including Rumba, Bata, Palo, Bembe, and Guiro. Beyond performing, the groups seeks to research, teach, and preserve the traditions to which it is tied.
