Bhangra Dance
with Shamila Khetarpal
Dubbed Chicago's Bhangra Queen, Shamila Khetarpal has been studying and performing Bhangra (Indian folk dance) and Bollywood (Indian film dance) for over 20 years. She teaches and performs internationally, teaches Bhangra at the Old Town School of Folk Music, regularly represents the Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago with workshops and performances in Chicago, and has taught and performed at numerous Chicago area dance events and festivals, including Chicago Summerdance, Millennium Park Workouts, and the University of Chicago Folk Festival.
